Flower Pot Pocket Card

This week's Jacksonbelle Embellishments challenge is to make a card that is any shape - except rectangle!!! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for this challenge. When uploading to SCS, please use the keyword JBE051 so we can all check out your cards!

I had no clue what I was going to do for this challenge. Then a few days ago, I was surfing through my google reader and I found this card by Lynda and I immediately knew I wanted to try it out. Come to find out, this was a technique challenge over on SCS not too long ago. You can find wonderful instructions for it here. I used the Basic Grey Porcelain paper to cover my flower pot. The flowers took the longest, but I wanted them to be special and really pop. So, I took some Wildflower Primas and covered them with Hotty Pink Shimmerz Blingz and Golden Wheat Shimmerz. I used the Golden Wheat color all the time, but this was my first time using Hotty Pink. It is sooooooooo pretty!!!! The 2 flowers on the sides are glued directly to the rectangle card. While the 1 in the center, is raised with a dimensional. I added Basic Grey Porcelain buttons to the centers, then punched out some leaves and glued them on. I tied on some Vanilla grosgrain with a little organdy ribbon that I found in my stash. At the bottom of the pot, I punch out a little butterfly and added a little pearl to the center. Yes, it took me for-ev-er, but it was so worth it and I'm so pleased with how it turned out. Thanks for the inspiration Lynda! Don't forget to check out what the rest of the design team gals came up with:
