Afternoon Thank You

This week's Jacksonbelle Embellishments challenge is as easy as 1-2-3!!! That is you can use 1 stamp, 2 embellishments and 3 layers. When uploading your card to SCS, please use the keyword JBE050 so we can all check it out. Also Lindsey just added two fabulous new Basic Grey pads to the store - Lime Rickey and Wisteria. You don't want to miss out on those. They both look fabulous!

Yes, I panicked just a tad when I saw this challenge because I love lots of layers and embellishments!! However, once I came up with an idea it was easy. I decided to make little, simple notecards. I got my inspiration from Nichole Heady's fabulous blog. She is always making marvelous cards and I've noticed she often doesn't use a lot of layers or embellishments. It really makes the image and details that you do use pop! So with that in mind, I thought everyone always needs thank you cards in their stash. I had this adorable Thank You stamp by Imaginisce that worked perfectly. It's elegant and has these adorable doodles on it that immediately draw your attention to the message. Did I mention that the stamp is only .99? Hello - major bargain!!! The images were cut out and embossed with an oval Nestie. I colored the little flower in with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. On the top card, I added a little black Prima rhinestone to the middle of the flower. Both images are raised with dimensionals. The double-sided pattern paper is by October Afternoon. It's called County Library. On the second card, I added tiny Basic Grey Ambrosia buttons that have white Scrapper's Floss tied in the holes. Card #1 measures 4 1/4 x 3 1/2 and card #2 measures 4 x 3. Told you they are small. I love tiny notecards. They are perfect to accompany a small gift or stick inside a bag! Don't forget to check out what the rest of the design team gals came up with:
