Reading

Normally at the end of each month, I list the books that I've read with my review; which ends up being a super long post. Welp, I just saw on Goodreads that after you submit your review, it has a code that you can copy/paste to your blog. So instead of posting it all at the end of each month, I can now post every time I finish a book. It also gives you a link to other reviews and a picture of the cover. So let me catch up from last month and from now on my book posts will continue to look like this. Happy reading!!!!

A Rose from the Dead (Flower Shop Mystery, Book 6) A Rose from the Dead by Kate Collins

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
Book 6 in the flower shop mysteries. In this book, Abby and her friends get out of the shop to attend and promote their business at the annual Funeral Director convention. Little did they know that they would be solving a murder when the head organizer is found dead. When Abby's friend becomes the main suspect, she dives into her own investigation to prove her innocence and meets some odd characters along the way. Another great addition to this series. Kept me guessing til the end and truly made me giggle!

Love's Abiding Joy (Love Comes Softly Series #4) Love's Abiding Joy by Janette Oke

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
Book 4 in the Love Comes Softly series. This book finds Clark and Marty traveling out West to visit their daughter Missie and her family. A trip that was only suppose to last 2 weeks quickly turns into a year, when Clark is involved in a terrible accident. This story shows you that things definitely don't always turn out the way you think they should. However, if you put your trust in God, he always has a reason for making you experience a difficult situation and he always has a plan!

French Pressed (Coffeehouse Mystery, Book 6) French Pressed by Cleo Coyle

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
Book 6 in the coffeehouse mysteries. Another great addition to this series. Funny things are happening at Solange, a restaurant where Clare's daughter Joy is doing her internship. The head chef if hardly ever around, several of the employees have very hot, threatening tempers and 2 murders take place back to back. The biggest problem is Joy is the prime suspect! Clare jumps right in to clear her daughter's name and help solve the case. It was nice to base this book in a different atmosphere and get out of the coffee shop for a moment. It was also great seeing Clare making a choice in her personal life. Will she end up with Matteo or Mike. The book has a great ending leaving you anxious for the next installment: Espresso Shot.

Idoleyes Idoleyes by Mandisa Hundley

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was a wonderful autobiography. I couldn't stop reading it once I started!! Mandisa was completely open and honest with her emotions as she talked about faith, food addiction and her road to fame. It was neat to read about her journey with American Idol and about some behind the scenes stuff. However, I most enjoyed reading about her relationship with the Lord. It was very encouraging and uplifting. She is a beautiful person who would make a great role model for any female.
