Silver Nativity Sketch

Beate posted another wonderful weekend sketch challenge over on her blog. Check it out here and get to stampin' this weekend! It's a simple one (WooHoo) and I have enjoyed seeing what everyone has come up with. I buy a Christmas set every year and when I saw this one in the catty, I knew it was the one. I love the images and I really love all of the verses. I practiced watercoloring with my SU markers again. Man that's addicting and I love the bold colors it creates. Click on the pic so you can see a closeup. My Lostie sistahs were talking about embossing earlier today so it was stuck in my mind while I was making this. See the embossed silver edge? I just tapped the edge of my cardstock in versamark and then sprinkled my EP on it. Gives it a nice, framed look.

Stamps
: Snowman Nativity (TAC), Flannel Plaid
Paper: Sage Shadow, Perfect Plum, Almost Amethyst, watercolor paper (Walmart)
Ink: Noir (Palette, TAC), Perfect Plum, Versamark
Other: silver embossing powder, silver cord, silver brads, SU markers, watercolor brush.
