Fix-it Friday
Remember the new site I told y'all I found the other day - I Heart Faces! I'm so thrilled to have stumbled across it (thanks Michelle :) Today is called Fix-It Fridays. We were given the above photo and asked to fix-it up. This is just what I needed to challenge me to learn more about Photoshop. This is my first time playing and I know I have a lot to learn, but I had fun giving it a try. I even learned a thing or 2 from the fabulous contributors. Here is my fixed photo:
The only thing I really know how to do in Photoshop, is run actions and play with the opacity of those actions. After reviewing the contributors enhancements, I decided to play with all of those gazillion buttons over on the other side of the program. Eek! It was my first time using the bandage and lasso tool. I used the little bandage to clean up some of the flaky skin. I then lassoed around the bottom part of the face, selected the hue/saturation and reduced the redness to 34%. Then I went to something I'm more comfortable with - running actions. MCP Actions has a wonderful package called Magic Skin that I purchased a few months ago. Here was my process: MCP Magic Foundation - 72%, MCP Magic Skin - 67%, Pioneer Woman's: Warmer, Bring on the Eyes and Lighten - 63%. You can click on the pics for a larger view. Such a cute little guy and a wonderful picture!!!

Love how soft and lighter he looks, amazing job Kim! I always wanted a good photo program, but I never did get one.
Well I have no idea what any of that means - but good job. He's a cutie in both pics!
Can you come teach me?! I'm so intimidated by Photo Shop but I'd LOVE to learn how to use it!
I forgot to say - cute picture! :)
