It's Tuesday and time for a Jacksonbelle Embellishments challenge. Today's creations are inspired by one of my favorite summer activities. With Memorial Day just right around the corner, make a card or project inspired by a cook out. When uploading to SCS, please us the keyword JBE054 so we can check out what you come up with. Be sure to check out the new Basic Grey pearls and rhinestones - they are a great price and going fast!
When I read what the challenge was going to be, this was the first image that came to my mind. When I think of cook outs, I definitely think of s'mores!! It's just so relaxing and fun to sit around the camp fire with family and friends eating a gooey chocolate sandwich. I chose to use the Basic Grey Marrakech paper for this card because it not only gives it a rustic, cabin feel, but I thought the pattern paper looked like a quilt you would take along to a cook out. I colored Campfire Riley in with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS. To the fire and mushrooms, I added Marigold Shimmerz using an aquapainter. The brads are also from the Marrakech collection. Gotta love when everything matches so easily. I followed this sketch for the layout. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the other design team gals came up with:
