Birthday Hamish

A very sweet friend sent me this stamp awhile ago and this is the first time I've gotten around to inking it up. Too many cute stamps, so little time! Is Hamish adorable or what? I love this image! He is so sweet in his little outfit. This is my first time playing in the Sugar Bowl. This week's challenge was a fabulous sketch by Tiets. Seriously fabulous - check out all of those layers. I heart layers! I started by stamping the image on TAC white. I colored in his skin and hair with Copics, then paper pieced everything else on. Yes it took forever, but it was so worth it. My hubby has been out of state on business (coming home today, WooHoo) and I just don't sleep well when he is gone. So when you have nothing else to do at midnight, you paper piece images, LOL. I also cut out and raised the little tag, his tie and shoes with dimensionals. The Basic Grey Ambrosia pack was perfect for this card. It was easy to pick out matching colors for all the layers and I love the bold colors. The sentiment comes from an old Gift with Purchase stamp from TAC. Buttons are also from the Basic Grey Ambrosia collection. I tied some white Scrapper's Floss through the holes and then just glued them on with Crystal Effects. Thanks for stopping by.
