Prima Spotlight
This weeks Jacksonbelle Embellishment's Challenge is focused on Prima products. Of course, Prima makes those beautiful assortment of flowers that everyone loves to embellish their cards with. However, did you know that Prima also makes wonderful clear stamps, pattern paper, gems, ribbon, and other adorable embellishments? Well they do. Be sure to hop over to the store to check it all out. If you would like to play along with us this week, please use the keyword JBE042 when uploading your creations.
I started off by creating a prayer journal. I found the journal in the $1 spot at Michael's (score!!!). The color matches this fabulous Prima paper perfectly. Isn't that perfect paper for covering a book? It almost has a leather, old world look to it. The pink designs are actually embossed on the paper so it has this great texture to it! I simply mounted it on Very Vanilla cardstock and then adhered it to the journal using Modpodge. The verse is from Verve Stamps - I thought it was perfect for the front of a prayer journal. I cut it out using Labels Nesties. It is then raised with a dimensional and the corners are decorated with a Prima crystal. I love these crystals! They come in a huge swirl pattern so you can either use them like that, or pull them off and use them individually like I did here. To the bottom corner, I glued on some Melissa Frances Antique buttons with Crystal Effects, then tied on a May Arts Twinkle Ribbon. I also made a quick card to accompany my journal using the same Prima paper. The Panda Image is one of Prima's many clear stamps. They make adorable images like this and they just came out with some seriously fabulous background stamps. Best thing is, they are only $1.99. I can't wait to try this one out!! The little panda is cut out with rectangle Nesties. I then cut out his head and raised it with a dimensional. I also decorated the corners with Prima Crystals. The sentiment is also raised with a dimensional. The scallops at the bottom were punched with the new EK Success Scallop Diamond punch that is at Michael's. They just came out with a ton of new punches and I snatched up a few this weekend. The card measures 5.5 x 3.5. Before I go, I wanted to show y'all my favorite product that Prima just came out with. It's called Prima Wildflower Pillar Pack. It's this huge pillar full of flowers!!!! I pulled a few out so you can see some of the different shapes and sizes. They will be PERFECT for Spring and you can easily go over them with Shimmerz to give them a touch of color. I went over the orange on in the center with Marigold Shimmerz. So be sure to check out all of the fabulous new Prima products and don't forget to check out what the rest of the design team girls came up with this week:
