Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

Happy Valentine's day. Do y'all have any special plans today? My husband and I started a little tradition where we stay at home and make some special meals for each other throughout the day. That way we don't have to fight the crazy crowds. I chose to do breakfast. That's an extra special treat from me because I'm not a morning person by any means, so I rarely get up and make breakfast for Ross. He's been excited all week just thinking about it, LOL. So I decided to make these Amish Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls with Caramel Icing that I found over on the RecipeGirl site. This was the first time I've ever tried making cinnamon rolls from scratch and it was quite easy. I started last night and completed steps 1-4 so I wouldn't have to wake up too terribly early :) They turned out perfect! They weren't too heavy or soggy like some cinnamon rolls can be. Instead they were light, flaky and that icing - Oh My Word !!! Ross took the leftovers and poured it into a bowl so he could dip his rolls in it. I love that the pumpkin gave it a beautiful color too. I love baking with pumpkin!!! They were also quite filling. So if you ever want to impress a crowd for breakfast, be sure to try these out. It's definietly worth it! Ross is in charge of dinner and I see some shrimp and crab legs in the fridge so I excited. I haven't had crab in years and I love it. Hope y'all have a wonderful day!!!
