3 New Dishes
I tried 3 new dishes this week and I thought I would share links to the websites where the recipes are. On Wednesday, I made Rachel Ray's Lemon Poppy Chicken with Sweet Pea & Mint Couscous. Oh yeah, baby! The chicken was perfect and I loved the lemon sauce that went with it. The couscous was out of this world. I used whole wheat couscous and picked some mint and basil from our garden to put in it. It just can't get any better than that. Ross took left overs today for lunch and he said that it warmed up perfectly and was just as good on day two! Tonight I tried two new recipes. First I made Rachel Ray's Cucumber Sesame Salad. Can I hear a Yum-o? I love cucumbers, like seriously love cucumbers and I have made many salad over the years, but nothing compares to this one!!!! That's saying a lot. The combination of all the ingredients is perfect. I love the little hint of sweetness from the honey. I just chilled it in the fridge for about 15 minutes and it was perfect. I also used a cucumber from our garden. If you click on the link, it is included with another recipe. I have also made the Hoisin Noodles on there and they were fantastic too. Okay, onto the last dish. I made Peanut Butter Noodles. No I'm not crazy. It's a basic Thai ingredients and when you combine it with the other items for the peanut sauce it is out of this world. Makes your kitchen smell good too :) I used organic peanut butter and it worked just fine. It was also super easy to make. Ross came home, looked what was on the stove and goes, "Wow, that looks like something I would order at a restaurant". He wasn't kidding, it was just as good too. All 3 of these are definite keepers. I love finding new things to cook. Hope y'all try them out and enjoy!!!! Your tummy will thank you!
