Changito Grad

May is graduation month and I'm attending 2 this week. Tomorrow my brother graduates with his Associates plus honors and then on Saturday my nephew is graduating from H.S. I was clueless on what to stamp them because I didn't own any graduation stamps. Then Stampendous came out with some new Changito and Bee Happy images and guess what was in there! This adorable little monkey grad. So once I had the stamp, I had to come up with something that would work for guy cards. Why don't they like ribbon and flowers, geez! I turned to my friend Tammi's gallery and found this perfect layout. How cute is her card by the way?? So I got to work this afternoon and busted out two of these. I so love this color combo!!! I really need to start using Kraft more often. My Changito is stamped on Whisper White with Palette Noir. I then colored him in with Earth Elements Watercolor Crayons and an aquapainter. Because I'm a girl, I did add some Stardust Stickles to the cheeks ... sshhhh maybe they won't notice!! The whole image is raised with dimensionals. One of the things I loved about Tammi's card was the piercing. I used my piercer and guide from the Mat Pack to add some holes, and they actually came out straight. WooHoo. Usually I start going sideways, even with the guide. The flannel plaid background is stamped on the Wasabi in Garden Green. I'm glad I punched my photo corners out with that because it gave it a nice texture. The sentiment is from a TAC set called How Swell. I like that the "C" matched the curl in his tail. To finish it off I sponged the Kraft and Banana edges with Close to Cocoa Thanks for stopping by!!
