Hello bookworms. Did y'all read anything good this month? I got through 2 books the week Ross was in Canada :) Here is what I read in September:

1. Karen Kingsbury - Summer: This is the second book in the Sunrise series. Follow the Baxter family as they celebrate a new life, morn over a loss and pull together for support in a time of need. (Christian fiction)

2. Al & Joanna Lacy - All My Tomorrows: This is the second book in the Orphan Train series. (Christian fiction)

3. Janette Oke - Love Comes Softly : This is the first book in the Love Comes Softly series. My mom lent me this series and I quickly fell in love with the characters. It's a very sweet story. (Christian fiction)

4. Susan Wittig Albert - Dead Man's Bones : This is book thirteen in the China Bayle's Herb Shop mysteries. I just love this author and her characters!!! (fun, ligh mystery)

5. Cassandra King - Same Sweet Girls : My friend Melissa lent me this book (several months ago.. sorry Mel). It's the story about a group of ladies who met in college and formed an amazing bond. They get together twice a year to catch up, perform silly rituals and just be themselves. They all have issues and are completely different, but they stick together throughout the years. (fiction)

I have read all the Love Comes Softly books-literally dozens of them. They are great and the 3 movies that go with them are fabulous.

I love Barbara Kingsolver and read Prodigal Summer and loved that.

If you love Christian fiction, nothing tops the books by Beverly Lewis. You won't be able to put them down.

Also read Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers--my favorite book in the world--also Christian fiction.

Just stared the Candle in the Darkness series by Lynn Austin and I am already riveted to the story. I think it sounds like you and I like similar books!

Hey Girlie!!!!

I didn't read as much I would have liked...but I did get some reading in. I read:

Hot Stuff by Janet Evanovich: Fun lighthearted like most of Janet's novels. The characters crack me up. I little romance, a little mystery and a lot of humor.

Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs: NOT for everyone, but I LOVED it, sick, dark humor wrapped up in the real life story of a Gay Teens experiences growing up in a Crazy Loony family in the 70's-80's

I am 1/2 way thru Twelve Sharp by Janet Evanovich: It has been a while since I read any Stephanie Plum novels, I am enjoying this one as much as the others.

I read the best book The Pilot's Wife by Anita Shreve. I couldn't put it down. It's an easy read but sooo intriguing.... Thanks for sharing your good book and love seeing what your other readers suggest too!

Hey Kim - I love the "love" series (no pun intended), Janette Oke is a wonderful writer. The newest film airs on the Hallmark Channel this Saturday and Loves Unending Legacy just came out on DVD last week.

Wonderful films!

Kim - I love Janette Oke and Bev Lewis. Two different genres but nevertheless, compelling storytelling.

Love's Unfolding Dream by Oke just came out today so I know that I'll be curled up in front of the tube with a big bowl of popcorn cheering on Belinda!

Great blog, BTW!
