Hellllloooo! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! We had everyone over for a great Christmas celebration. Took Charlotte 2 days to open her gifts because she had to play with each one immediately. Santa brought her a MiniKick scooter and she has been riding it all over the place. It's quite cute to see her zipping off down the sidewalk with Ross chasing after her. Two days after the festivities, I came down with the flu. The flu is absolutely horrible by the way! I finally got over the high fevers, aches and zapped energy, but I'm still fighting a nasty cough. Not a fun way to ring in the New Year. However, that didn't stop me from bundling up and going outside to watch C wave her first ever sparklers. For the past few days, I've been putting away all of the decorations, organizing and I even got hit with the a little mojo!
We have a birthday party to go to this weekend. I tried really hard to find a card at the store that we liked, but really hated everything that we found. I finally told myself that it was time to blow the dust off of my old stamping stuff and make one myself. For those of you who don't know me, I was a huge card maker several years ago. Once Charlotte was born though I completely stopped. I've made a few tiny things for C's birthday treats, but this is the first card I've made in 3.5 years! I have to admit I had a lot of fun going through my supplies and coming together with an idea. I knew I wanted to use this sweet image from Whipper Snapper, but the next stop was finding some inspiration on where to go from there. I use to really love participating in all of the sketch challenges across the web. I remembered Julee use to always post a sketch each Monday so I looked her up and was pleasantly surprised to see she was still doing it. For this card, I followed Mojo 327 for the layout. So happy it was an easy one this week, lol. I of course had to cut out and pop up the little girl's bow. I use to love popping up some little part of my images in the past. Some things just never change!
