Featured Designer

I'm so happy that it's Monday - you definitely don't hear that too often. However, this is a very special Monday because I finally get to spill the beans. I was asked to be a Whipper Snapper Featured Designer for July and August!!!! Go ahead - gasp, shriek, do a little jig ... that's was my reaction! In fact, that is still my reaction, LOL. I have 2 new cling sets from Whipper Snapper to play with this month. They were designed by the ever so fabulous Anna Wight (a.k.a Sweet Miss Daisy). She creates the ca-utess sets that include adorable images that you can use alone or to create a unique scene. I thought I would share a sample from each set today.

First up is Cowgirl Up! This set has so many possibilities. Please take a moment to check out the little cowgirl! Isn't she adorable and totally stylish? I love her little outfit, but you know what my favorite part is - her little, knobbly knees. They crack me up! I started by stamping the cowgirl, chicken and cactus. I then masked off the girl's arm and stamped the lasso. My image was colored in with Copics. I raised her hat and the little dirt mound with a dimensional. The cactus and buckle were paper pieced on. I chose to use the Basic Grey Lemonade paper with this. The pattern papers just reminded me of old quilts. I pulled out my Janome sew mini and added some stitching around the panels.

Stamps: Cowgirl Up
Paper: Kraft, TAC white, Basic Grey Lemonade
Ink: Memento Black, Close to Cocoa
Other: Copics, Labels 1 Nestie, Kraft Taffeta, Janome Sew Mini, brads, dimensional
Copics: Eoo, E21, E11, E31, E33, E35, E37, BG10, BG72, BG93, E08, E19, E27, R81, R83

Next is Halloween Fun. Let me tell you it is definitely fun!! I LOVE all of the images in this set and the sentiments are so perfect. I have so many ideas for this set - guess I better get busy :) I went ahead and followed Sketch Challenge # 237. I stamped the little witch and frog out first. I have nicknamed the frog Trevor. I guess I have Harry Potter on the brain, LOL. I went ahead and cut and embossed it with my Labels Nestie, then added my sentiment. The potion bottle was cut out and raised with a dimensional. To give it a little magic sparkle, I added Sugar Plum Shimmerz to the bottle and "Trevor's hat". The pumpkin strip was embossed with the Forest Branches Cuttlebug folder. So what do y'all think? Cute sets right!! Be sure to swing by and check out the other samples.

Stamps: Halloween Fun
Paper: Orchid Opulence, Pumpkin Pie, TAC white, K&Co.
Ink: Memento black
Other: Labels 2 Nestie, dimensional, Copics, Sugar Plum Shimmerz, Forest Branches Cuttlebug folder, American Kraft ribbon
Copics: V01, V12, V15, BV04, W7, 110, YG00, YG03, YG13, YG17, Y17, Y38, YR04

Too cool to be doing this! I'm so happy for you! Both cards are darling! Love all the details in the image, and that it has a chicken, cuz Anna's always talking about chickens on her blog. The Halloween one is just fun! Love the popped out potion, that you nicknamed the frog. Love the colors on that! I think it's just making me want fall weather!
