Mini Chick Bee Sketch

I had a little time this afternoon to play with this sketch that Jen posted on her blog. Isn't it a cute layout? My friend Tammi sent me this adorable Spring image from Elzybells and I thought it would be perfect for this sketch. After coloring in my image with SU markers, I added some Stickles to the bee's wings and the chick's beak. The sentiment is from a retired TAC set called Lion. My circles are cut out with a circle Coluzzle and the Magic Matter. The Saffron cardstock was run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. The Wasabi strips were mounted on Blue Bayou cardstock. I then took my Mat Pack and paper piercer and poked some holes down the middle. To connect them, I used a white gel pen. Now check out the flowers! We went to Pier 1 on Sunday and look what I found! Spring colored felt flowers! They come in 4 different colors, 36 pieces in a bag for $2.50. Not bad, not bad!! I attached them to my card with glue dots! If you are a Survivor watcher, don't forget it comes on tonight instead of tomorrow. Happy Stamping.

Stamps: Mini Chick Bee (Elzybells), sentiment (lion, TAC, retired)
Paper: Sky Blue, Blue Bayou, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi
Ink: Palette Noir
Other: Stardust Stickles, Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder, circle Coluzzle, Magic Matter, Mat Pack, paper piercer, white gel pen, felt flowers from Pier 1

What a great card! I love those flowers. Isn't it fun to find stuff you can use on cards in "non-stamping" stores? :)
