Dell Diamond

It's baseball season and five minutes from our house is the Dell Diamond. Home of the Round Rock Express, a minor league baseball team. Last night was their season opener. They played the Corpus Christi Hooks, the minor league team from Corpus, and tickets were only $5.00, so a bunch of us went. Check out my dad and my oldest nephew chowing down on some peanuts!!! They were good peanuts by the way :) The game was a bit slow, score was 2-0 Express and it was crazy humid, but we still had a great time. We always love going out there. It's a very family friendly place. They are always doing little games in between innings and the mascots walk around and tease people. This is Sammy from the Hooks team. My nephew wasn't so sure about the mascots. He liked them from a distance, but not when they started coming closer!! Also on Friday's, they have a HUGE firework show after the game. We can actually see it from our front yard, so on Fridays around 10 you will find us standing in our driveway, in our PJs, watching the sky. Here's a pic of Ross and our nephew. Nate had a fun time running and rolling down the berm. The stadium is owned by Nolan Ryan and it is also a feed in to the Houston Astros. You will often see several injured Astros out there playing. We always look forward to going to the stadium. Gotta check out their schedule so we can pick out some more games to attend.

It looks like y'all had a BLAST!! I'm going to have to drag my family there for a game some evening; I know that my kids would love it.
