Happy Everything

I'm happy today because the sun was out when I woke up this morning. Haven't seen any sunshine all week. Nala was soaking it up by the window while she could!! I made this card using Taylor's Cupcake Challenge. I know I didn't use a cupcake image, but I still wanted to use the sketch! I colored directly on the stamp using SU markers: Mellow Moss, Regal Rose, Ruby Red. After it was stamped down, I added some lines on the leaves with an Always Artichoke marker. It made them pop a little more. My friend Tammi sent me this sentiment. I just love the font. Only problem is, I stamped it a little too close to the edge. I'm trying to ignore it because we need to head out to run some errands, but that's the first thing my eye sees when I look at the card, LOL. My butterfly is from Papertrey Ink: Butterfly Kisses. I stamped the solid image on vanilla in Palete Burnt Umber, then stamped the outline on my pattern paper. I cut it out and glued it down in just the center so the wings would still be raised. Happy Stamping!!!

Stamps: Garden Silhouettes, Butterfly Kisses (Papertrey Ink), linen
Paper: Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Basic Grey - Stella Ruby, Very Vanilla
Ink: So Saffron, Palette Burnt Umber (TAC)
Other: brads, circle Coluzzle, chocolate taffeta, slot punch, SU markers

This card turned out so cute. I love the layout that Taylor posted. I'm sure to try it out today. Now if I can just decide what stamps to use. I'll be back for more inspiration.
