Our Lil' Panda

I have a confession to make. I've been sitting on a pretty big secret since December 3 and I'm ready to finally spill the beans. I know I've had a lot of people emailing and asking if I'm alright - especially last month. The answer is yes! I'm fabulous. In fact, I've been working on a huge design project. The best design project that I can think of ....

Ross and I are expecting our first baby!!!!!! I'm 15 weeks 3 days at the moment and we are due July 31st. Just in time for that Texas unbearable heat wave to hit. I'm savoring this chilly weather while we have it!!! Everything has been going well. I haven't been sick at all, but I did suffer from fatigue. That is just now starting to let up which I'm very thankful for. That's the reason my blog posting slowed down. I can't sit at my desk and create for a long time like I use to. I have to go to the bathroom often, get a snack, stretch my legs out .. etc. So it takes me a bit longer to put my cards together these days :) Baby is doing great. We have a fabulous Dr. and have had 4 U/S already. 2 of those were scheduled the other 2 the baby was being stubborn, like this morning. They were just check-ups to listen to the heartbeat, but our baby likes to be seen and not heard so they have to wheel in the mini U/S. Our Dr. jokes about it now. She said this morning that she thinks we are going to have our hands full. Every time we have seen the baby it has been waving and kicking up a storm. Let's hope it loves the camera just as much once it gets on the outside!!! Both pictures were taken on Jan. 18th. The first picture above is a 3D U/S. It just amazes me how much you can already see when they are that small. The second picture is of course the waving hand. Like I said above, we were able to get a quick peek at the baby this morning, but the little U/S machine doesn't print out pics. It was neat seeing how much the baby has grown since our last appointment though. We have another U/S scheduled for next month, 3-9, so hopefully I can share more photos then.

I've had a few cravings. 2nd month it was mac & cheese (The Aaron McCargo recipe that I posted), 3rd month it was pistachios, currently it's sour cream and onion chips. The whole time I have LOVED oranges and raw broccoli. My aversion has been sweet and anything sugary. It's a total turn off and is purely torturing Ross, LOL. One other thing - we have decided to be a little old fashion and not find out what we are having. So, we have been referring to our baby as Panda. That's our news!!! We are thrilled, excited and just feel totally blessed to be going through this experience. I'm off to round up my husband and go find some lunch - we are hungry!!

Congrats! This is the best project ever I agree! I had to smile at the picture, these are the best ones because they show how God created us so small and we grow so big in him. I am so excited for you. I have said a prayer for you and the baby as well. Blessing!!!

Naturally, you know I'm uber excited about this! Gabi wanted me to clarify, she didn't think it was a panda, and wanted me to say BABY instead of Panda. And Big congrats from her!
