Icebox and Spanky

Did that title catch your attention and have you wondering what I was posting about?? It's more new stamps that Whipper Snapper is releasing this Monday (Dec. 7th)! First snowmen and now penguins. I'm in the wintry mood. Texas actually saw some snow yesterday. We got a few light flurries in the afternoon, but it was pretty while it lasted! This first little guy is called Icebox the Penguin. You might recognize him from Anna Wight's latest cling mount release: Think Snow. Recognize another image from that set? Yep, Finnigan the Snowman. I shared a sample of him in yesterday's post. There is just something about Icebox the Penguin that makes you just want to squish him. He is so cute bundled up in his scarf and furry ear muffs. I covered the pink parts of the scarf with Stardust Stickles so it's nice and sparkly! To get that deep black color for the penguin, I used Copic colors W3, 7 and 110. His belly is outlined with C1.The faux stitching at the bottom was done with a paper piercer and a Micron pen.

Next up, meet Spanky. It looks like he is just sitting on the sidelines and cheering Icebox on as he skates/ waddles across the ice. Spanky must sit very still because he is joined by a little winter bird. Don't you love the little bird's hat? I used Copic colors YG91, 95, 97 and 03 (in that order) to give his scarf that woolly look. The highlights on this cheeks and body were done with a Sharpie Poster Paint pen. More peeks to come tomorrow and remember the new Whipper Snapper release will be available this Monday (December 7th). Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
