Crocheted Gojuss Girl

This week the Jacksonbelle Embellishments team is showcasing the beautiful crocheted flowers that Melody made. Just a reminder that the packages of 8 crocheted flowers are on pre-sale until May 15th, so don't forget to place your orders with Lindsey!!! They make such a sweet embellishment by adding that extra homemade touch to your creations. The keyword for this challenge is JBE052. I also want to point out that all Memory Box items are now 30% off, Stickles are 15% off and there are some new Inkadinkado stamps that were just added to the store. Lots to look at, so get comfy and shop around!!!

For my card, I broke into the new Basic Grey Wisteria pack. I LOVE the colors and patterns in this collection. Simply gorgeous, which is fitting since I used a Gojuss girl for my image. I used an Niji Waterbrush to watercolor her clothing on, then colored the rest in with Copics. I then cut her out and raised her with a dimensional. I used the vanilla crocheted flower for this card. See all of the details on it - so pretty! I decided to use it to help make my sentiment stand out and to add a little extra pop to that bottom corner. I simple stamped my sentiment on the Basic Grey Wisteria paper, then cut it out using the word window punch. I snipped the end with my scissors to give it that banner look, then attached it with a Basic Grey Bittersweet brad. To help make the flower stand out more, I punched out some Rock Ferns and glued them behind the flower. I followed this sketch that I found over on Jen's wonderful blog. I also want to thank Tammi real quick for the uber adorable image and inspiration for this card. I totally stalked your blog yesterday! It's a daily habit of mine :) Now, don't forget to pop in and check out what the other design team gals did with their flowers:
