Michelle Woerner CASE

Time for another Jacksonbelle Embellishments Tuesday Challenge. The spotlight this week is on design team member Michelle Woerner. Michelle is not only a fabulous designer, but she is a total sweetheart who just so happens to have joined the many who have fallen for Edward lately :) Your challenge this week is to look through Michelle's gallery or blog and CASE one of her cards. Trust me, you will find some major inspiration looking through her designs. Please use the keyword JBE038 when uploading your cards.

I ended up choosing this card by Michelle. I kept the layout and placement of the brads and changed the image and paper. I loved the layout because it was simple, but still gave me a chance to add some little embellishments. I knew that I wanted to use the Imaginisce Fairest of Them All paper this week, so when I saw her card I knew it would be perfect. It gave me a chance to use 3 different papers from that collection, plus it made me step outside of my comfort zone and put panels on a card. I'm always nervous when I have to do panels because I'm really bad at making them even, LOL. I know, I'm a dork. It was super easy to follow Michelle's layout though. I also liked the embossed panel on her card. For some reason, I haven't used my Cuttlebug folders in awhile. So it was the perfect opportunity to pull them out and put one to good use. This Argyle folder gave the card so much texture. If you haven't checked out the Fairest of Them All paper, you must. It's perfect for little girlie, princess card. All the papers are double-sided and some of them even have glitter on them. I used Dress Up Lily for my image. She is colored in with Koh-i-noor pencils. I raised her crown and wand with dimensionals. I also went over the crown, star and flower with Bubble Gum Shimmerz. Michelle did a fabulous tutorial on Shimmerz a few weeks back; you can check it out here. To finish the card off, I added some Imaginisce Birthday Glitter brads. Michelle thanks so much for the inspiration. Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out what cards the rest of the design team CASE'd for this challenge:
