Flower Shop

Time for another Jacksonbelle Embellishments Tuesday challenge. It's my favorite kind of challenge too - a sketch!!! I absolutely love this layout that Lynda came up with. I hope you play along with us. When uploading your card to SCS, please use the keyword JBE039.

I just got the new Lizzie Anne Designs Welcome Home set and I've been waiting to ink it up. This sketch seemed like the perfect opportunity to break it in. I kept everything pretty simple so I could focus on the main image. Now just because you use a small image, doesn't mean you can't kick it up a notch with a lot of details. Here I colored in this adorable floral shop image with Koh-i-noor pencils. I then cut out the roof, flower boxes, flower basket and awning and raised them with dimensionals. I know that seems like a lot of hard work, but the images were super easy to cut out. Every time I cut out pieces to raise like that, I always use my EK Success Cutter Bee Scissors. They are sharp and have a fine point. I went over the windows with Candle Light Shimmerz and over my flowers with Magenta Shimmerz. See lots of details! Thanks for stopping by today. Have fun playing with the sketch and be sure to check out what the other gals on the design team came up with:

Beth Thomas
