Santa's Helper

I finally got my Elzybells order in and I couldn't wait to ink up this little image!! Isn't it sweet? I just love the look on the little deer's face. I followed Sketch Challenge 195 for my layout. I love all the layers. It's perfect for using up little paper scraps! I started by cutting out and embossing my image with square Nestabilities. It is colored in with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS. I outlined everything with a C1 Copic marker. I went over his little belt buckle with a Sakura Stardust pen. The snow and whites of his suit are covered in Icicles Stickles. It's very sparkly! The sentiment comes from Papertrey Ink's 2008 Holiday Tag set. I love the sentiments in that set as well as the font they are written in. I just stamped the sentiment in Palette Burnt Umber and cut it out with the small oval punch. For my embellishment, I took a Martha Stewart snowflake punch and popped out 2 different colors. I added a Chocolate button to the center and attached it with White Scrapper's Floss. Mom - look what Ross brought home!!!! We are having BLT's with broccoli cheese soup, how soon can ya get here :) Growing up, whenever my mom and I were the only ones for dinner she would often make BLT's on sourdough bread and broccoli cheese soup. It's one of my favorite comfort foods. Anyhow, Ross was in San Francisco for a quick business trip and he couldn't resist stopping by Boudin Bakery and buying a loaf of their famous sourdough bread. I'm pretty sure he bought the biggest one too, LOL. It's huge! When we visited S.F. a few years ago, we frequented that bakery. It was heaven :) Check out their link, they are making loaves in holiday shapes - he really wanted to get the little snowman, but they were sold out at the time he was there. I'm so looking forward to dinner tonight. We had a little taste tester last night and it was yummalicious. Hope I made y'all jealous and hungry now, LOL! Enjoy your evening and thanks for stopping by.
