For our first challenge we are asking you to “RING” in the New Year!! Keyword here ~ RING!!! Use your creativeness (is that a word??) and make a card that has a “ring” to it!! Ideas ~ Wedding card (rings ~ get it!?!?!), circles, a bell, Kids (ring around the Rosie), diamonds (either the shape OR the bling!!!), etc…

I really tried thinking outside of the box for this challenge. I read it out loud to my husband the moment I received it and the first thing he said was Let Freedom Ring. I couldn't get that idea out of my head after that, so I just ran with it. I got even more excited while I was searching Jacksonbelle Embellishements because I ran across this Freedom Rubon's by Cosmo Cricket. Perfect!!!!! I paired it with the Basic Grey Boxer paper - which is perfect for patriotic cards! I added some faux stitching with a paper piercer and a Night of Navy marker. The buttons and stars come from the Prima Down Home Apple Pie Kit. I covered the stars with Baby Blue Stickles and paper pieced the buttons. They are glued down with Crystal Effects. My card measures 6 x 3.5! Be sure to check all of the Design Teams blogs for more inspiration and some yummy Blog Candy!!!!!
Paper: Basic Grey - Boxer, Night of Navy
Other: paper piercer, mat pack, Riding Hood Red Taffeta, Night of Navy marker, Baby Blue Stickles, Cosmo Cricket Freedom Rubon's, Prima Down Home Apple Pie Kit, navy thread, crystal effects
