Sweet Pea

Did y'all know that the ladies on the Papertrey Ink forum post a challenge every Tuesday or Wednesday? I didn't until my friend Jess gave me the heads up. Thanks girl!! I have a few of them already saved to my desktop so I'll be playing catch up. The one I picked to try out first was a sketch challenge (CMWC12) - surprise, surprise! When I saw the tiny dots where the buttons are, it immediately reminded me of the 3 circles for the pea stamp and lets face it you can never have too many baby cards on hand!! I know several gals who are currently expecting and knowing my luck they will all turn out to have boys, LOL. Here's hoping for some pink!! What makes this card unique is, it's a window card. Meaning there is an oval punched on the front part of the card and the actual image is glued inside! I used my Lg. Classic & Classic Scallop Oval Nestabilities for my main image and to create the window. My peas are stamped in Old Olive and Certainly Celery. The sentiment is stamped in Old Olive. I then used my oval Coluzzle to cut it out, Then I glued it on top of pink and olive paper to cut out the other layers. It's raised with a dimensional. I used a 1/4" circle punch for the pink dots, then added white button brads to the top. Card measures 6 x 3.5! I think that it turned out to be a very sweet and quick baby card. Happy Stamping!

Stamps: Green Thumb (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: Old Olive, Whisper White, DCWV Pastel Pink, SU Print Sampler
Ink: Old Olive, Certainly Celery
Other: 1/4" circle punch, white button brads, Lg. Classic & Classic Scallop Oval Nestabilities, oval Coluzzle (TAC, A-84000), Pretty in Pink grosgrain
