Boards & Beams

I finally got the chance to ink up my new Boards & Beams set. I saw Julee's Mojo Monday challenge and it was the perfect image to use for the sketch! Speaking of, you best go check out her blog!!! Not only is this a wonderful layout, but the winner gets a sa-weet reward! My image was stamped on Very Vanilla with Palette Noir. I then colored it in with my Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS. The little topiary is cut out and raised with dimensionals. To create the scallops, I just used my little slit punch. I took my mat pack and paper piercer and poked some holes along the Chocolate strip. Now I don't know of anyone who is moving, but I'll be ready when the moment comes around, LOL! Happy Stamping.

Stamps: Boards & Beams (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Paper Salon - Spice: Harlequin Vines (2-sided), Very Vanilla
Ink: Palette Noir (TAC, TT-220), Palette Burnt Umber (TAC, TT-218)
Other: Koh-i-noor pencils, OMS, dimensionals, slit punch, mat pack, paper piercer, brads

This was my first visit to your wonderful blog, and it was because of this card you uploaded to SCS! I bought this stamp set specifically to make a card for my daughter and her DH because they're in the process of buying their first house - they're closing on it tomorrow! I have to make the card tomorrow morning, so I'm gathering inspiration from the Gallery! Their house looks more like the farm house, but it has shutters like the townhouse, so I'm not sure which I'm going to use. And it's white with red shutters, so I might cut it out and put it on colored cardstock so the white stands out. Or I could just color it whatever color *I* want to color it! Anyway, thanks for the inspiration!
