Happy Flag Day!

Happy Flag Day!! Did you know that it was flag day? Just smile and nod. The only reason I know is because it's my husband and my nephew's birthday. Ross always asks people if they know when flag day is. He says his birthday is an overlooked holiday, LOL. I took the above picture while we were in New York City a couple weeks ago. Ross kept making fun of me because I was snapping pictures of all the American flags. I was just mesmerized by them though. There were flags hung all over the city from these huge buildings. It was just neat to see!!! We have our tiny one flying at the entrance to our house, but one day I would like to get a larger one. Anyways, Ross requested a dirt cake, minus the gummy worms for his birthday. Yes I married a big kid that I love to death!!! Can you believe I've never made a dirt cake before? It was super easy. Plus it's pudding and oreos, hello folks!!! I made it a little more elegant looking and placed it in a trifle bowl. YUM. Ross and Josiah I hope that y'all both have a wonderful birthday and I wish everyone a fantastic flag day!!!!
