Disc Golf
Another day of not stamping, but we had a great workout! Me, Ross and my brother went to the Old Settlers park here in Round Rock this afternoon to play a little frisbee golf. My Sil came along too and walked the course with us.. chatting and taking pictures. It is a full 18 hole course with several challenging and long holes! If you are not familiar with disc golf, it's simple. You try to throw your frisbee in a chain target at a set distance in as few throws as possible. That might sound easy, but when you are battling the wind and landscape it makes it an interesting game. Especially when some of the holes are over 1,000 feet long. Ross use to play all the time back in high school and college and he just picked it up again a couple weeks ago. This is the first time my brother has played and the first time I have completed a full course. Look at Tim's form. Not bad for a newbie!!! It was fun watching some of the other groups out on the course because they could really throw. The course goes around a lake and takes you all over the park..up and down hills. It's a great layout. There was even one hole where you had to throw it over the corner of the lake. Yeah I don't think so! At one point, I ended up in a field, but I got a cool shot of an old abandoned barn, so see it must have been on purpose LOL. The last hole was my best shot of the day. I threw it about 40 ft. and made it in the basket. Don't know how that happened, but it was a great way to end the day. I was proud of myself for keeping up with the guys. Took us about 2 1/2 hours to play and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Remind me of that tomorrow when my arm is hurting! I have a sketch challenge already picked out for in the morning, so it's back to card making I go.

Looks like an interesting day. Hope your arm doesn't hurt too much tomorrow!
I didn't realize you were in Texas. So are we....El Paso.
Can't wait to see your card tomorrow!
Kim, it sounds like you had fun today! Woohoo on making the basket on that 40 foot throw. If y'all are ever driving thru my town, we can meet at Bucee's for a cold drink and then hit my local frisbee golf course. :O) You and Ross can teach me how to play.
Looks like a blast!! Can't say I've ever done disc golf!!
I haven't heard frisbee golf in forever. We used to do that. Awww....the memories.
