A Color Challenge Surprise

First off, I have to wish my daddy a very Happy Birthday!!!! I hope you had a wonderful day. Did y'all check out today's color challenge? You should!!! I saw it and got a funny look on my face because the combo didn't really strike me at first. But I'm sooooo glad I tried it out because I absolutely love how this card turned out. I didn't have any Basic Gray cs so I just used some Bazzill paper. See I can compromise!! I tried something new with the main image. My Lostie sis Leslie shared this wonderful link with me. Everyone has heard of Copic Markers, but Julie shows us how we can use our SU markers to get the same look. I still need some major practice, but it will be worth it. I just stamped my image in Noir on watercolor paper (that I got from Wal-mart). I then used the following SU markers and my watercolor brush to blend the colors: Basic Black, Going Gray, So Saffron, Creamy Caramel, Blush Blossom, Pretty in Pink, Bordering Blue, and Mellow Moss. Thanks Julie, my husband thanks you too after he saw how much those Copic markers run :) I also went over their blades with a Sakura Stardust pen!! I think that I am really lovin' the new River Rock color too. I stamped the Canvas in Versamark and then the snow in Going Gray.

Stamps: Winter Wonderland (TAC), Canvas, Coolest Snowmen (snow, TAC)
Paper: Gray Bazzill, watercolor (from Walmart), Basic Black, River Rock
Ink: Noir (Palette, TAC), Versamark, Going Gray
Other: Black Organdy Ribbon, watercolor brush, Sakura Stardust pen
