Happy Father's Day!

I've always been a daddy's girl and I have a great dad! He has always been a great listener, advice giver and overall a wonderful friend. He will always inspire me! Love ya daddy.

I have such a tough time making guy cards because I love flowers and too much glitter, LOL. However, I was super excited when I saw this tutorial on Cambria's blog. How cute it that and let me tell ya, they are so easy and fun to make. It was also technique lover challenge 119 over on SCS. You can find tons of examples by looking through that thread.

My base cardstock is Certainly Celery. I took a piece of Brocade Blue cs and stamped the Canvas background on it in the same color. I took a piece of Ruby Red cs to back it and dressed the corners up with the ticket corner punch. The strip of Bashful Blue cs is stamped with the Crackle bg from TAC and then the edges decorated using some Deckle scissors. My sentiment is from a TAC set called My Inspiration. I chose that one because this shirt looks just like something my dad would wear. The pattern paper is from Chatterbox and the "buttons" are Sprinkles by Queen & Co; a set called Scrap in the City.

I made the same card for my FIL, but just changed up the paper and added a tie. Same products as above, however the cardstock is Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, So Saffron, and Brocade Blue.

These cards rock, Kim! I wish I would have seen this one before I made my cards. But this will be a perfect card for Rich's birthday in August...I will add a tie to the shirt because he always wears ties! TOO CUTE!
