White on White

This week's Jacksonbelle Embellishments challenge is White on White. You can use minimal color, but we want to see mostly white. When uploading your card to SCS, please use the keyword JBE048 so we can all check out your white creations!

I've seen a lot of design teams using this challenge lately and all of their creations are so pretty. It's actually perfect for Easter and Spring cards! I thought I would have a tough time with this one, but once I got started it all fell together rather quickly. The all white with a splash of color made me think of a simple, elegant notecard so that is what I did. I started by stamping my Basic Grey Lotus Stamp in Brilliance Pearlescent Lavender and Purple. Notice the pearlescent in the title, this ink has a beautiful shimmer to it! I cut out the center of the purple flower and mounted it on top of the lavender one with a dimensional. The center is decorated with a Basic Grey Porcelain button that is attached with white Scrapper's Floss. The whole image was cut out and embossed with square Nesties. I sponged along the edges with VersaMagic Spanish Olive and glued on the leaves. The whole panel is raised with a dimensional as well. To help give my background texture and make it stand out from the white base, I embossed it with the Argyle Cuttlebug folder. To give it a little more elegance, I tied on my favorite May Arts White Twinkle Ribbon. I can't wait to see what the other design team gals came up with. Be sure to stop by their blogs for even more inspiration:
