Dark Polly Packages

Have you ever had trouble taking a picture of a card? I know you're shaking your head in agreement!! I'm so super bummed because I absolutely, 100% love how this card turned out and I can't for the life of me get a good photo of it. I took a gazillion photos inside, under the Ott-lite, with flash, without, then I ventured outside and almost blew away snapping photos out there. It is creepy dark outside. Something is definitely blowing in and as I stared at the dark clouds rolling in, I kept hearing that music from the Wizard of Oz - you know the one they play when the witch always comes around. Yea, I know, I have issues! Anyhow, I couldn't get any of the reds to match - they do I swear and it looks like I added a dead poinsettia to my card. Not so - it's just really dark. Ugh - I tell you all of this so hopefully you will take pity on me and still leave me comments, LOL. I did manage to snap a few closeups that turned out okay and showed more detail. I colored Polly in with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS. She is outlined with at Copic C1. Do you see the shimmerz?? I added Royal Red Shimmerz to the berries, bow and sack. Now here is a pic of my "dead" poinsettia. See it's just a deep maroon color! Sigh, oh well. I hope y'all still like it! This was for Mojo 64 which is a fabulous layout by the way! Go try it out. Tammi thanks for sending me such a cute image. I heart her! She is just way too cute!!! Thanks for stopping by today. Think of me the next time you struggle taking photos :)

It is still a gorgeous card regardless if the camera is behaving itself or not! And yes, I have issues with my camera and the lack of daylight in the Northeast lately! :D

Yes, I've had the same problems, especially with reds! Anyway, I can see that your card is cute as can be!! I'm loving that shimmerz effect, pretty!

Kim you are so funny! You're card looks great! I never would of noticed that your poinsettia was dead if you hadn't of pointed it out! ;)

Kim...you make me chuckle! But I understand your issues. However, your card looks fabulous and I just know it is a total knock out in person!

Super cute card. I'm seriously thinking of taking some basic photography classes because any time I take a photo as well it doesn't look like what I have in front of me.

It's gorgeous dear, even with a picture you are unhappy with! :) I have some of that figgy pudding bg paper left and I just can't bring myself to use it all up!

I feel your pain! We can see through the dark lighting and see how pretty your card is. Dead poinsettia -- hahaaaa!!!

I'm waiting for the sun to come out so I can take a few pictures of a few cards to load. Although, that might not happen, it's pouring snow (can snow be 'pouring?!).
