Birds Galore Sketch

This is the last Christmas card that I have to share with y'all. I just got this Birds Galore set and I love it. It's so elegant and I love the images. You can stamp them solid or color them up like I did here. I started by stamping everything in Palette Burnt Umber. Then on a scratch sheet of paper, I stamped the bird in Brilliance Pearlescent Poppy and the leaves in VersaMagic Spanish Olive. I then cut those out and pieced them on my Burnt Umber image. The bird is also raised with a dimensional. I wanted the green leaves to look a little frosty, so I added Angel Wings Shimmerz to them. That did the trick perfectly! The squares are cut out and embossed with Nestabilities and the Riding Hood Red strip is embossed with the Forest Branches Cuttlebug folder. The sentiment comes from the '08 Holiday Tag Collection from Papertrey Ink. I followed this sketch that I found over on Maria's blog. Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Stamps: Birds Galore ( Inkadinkado), '08 Holiday Tag Collection (PTI)
Paper: TAC white, Basic Grey - 12x12 Wassail , Always Artichoke, Kraft, Riding Hood Red
Ink: Palette Burnt Umber, VersaMagic Spanish Olive, Brilliance Pearlescent Poppy
Other: Square Nesties, dimensional, Angel Wings Shimmerz , Forest Branches Cuttlebug folder, Kraft Taffeta, smal oval punch, brads
