A Joyful Challenge

Barb Foster recently contacted me and asked if I wanted to kick off her Random Mail Stamp Challenge. The idea is to send someone a stamped image and have them use it on a card, scrapbook page, etc. Once you are done, you stamp an image and send it to someone else so they can play along. Now I have to admit, I was a tad nervous about the image that Barb would send. She totally rocks the Halloween cards and I was worried I wouldn't be able to live up to her standards. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the envelope and found this lovely, embossed Joy image. The colors were so pretty together and I loved the torn edges. I started off by using sketch challenge 183 on SCS. I just added an extra strip across the panels. This card has a bunch of texture to it. Along with the embossed image, the Sage Shadow background is stamped with Linen, the Reece cardstock was embossed with the Textile Cuttlebug folder and there are some holes poked along the top edge of the Chocolate strip. I pulled out my Build-a-flower set because it matches the flowers in the Joy image perfectly. I've never noticed that before!! So I stamped it in Palette Burnt Umber and Sage Shadow, then cut out the small Sage center and glued it on top of the Burnt Umber piece. For the center, I just used a regular old hole punch and popped out a center with the Reece cardstock. The whole flower is raised with a dimensional. Barb, thanks for challenging me. I hope I did your image justice!! Now it's my turn to send out an image. Keep your eyes on Barb's blog, she is going to keep an ongoing link list of everyone's cards. Happy Stamping!

I am a TAC demo. If you have any question or would like to look at my website where you can view or order our products, just let me know!
