Seize the Cupcake

Look at me go today. I was able to combine 2 challenges and ink up a new set!! I did this week's color challenge and Beate's weekend sketch challenge. I just sold some stamps and bought a new set online ... that's how the cycle goes folks. Isn't it cute? It's a clear set by Hero Arts called cupcakes. It's all Jody's fault. When I saw this post on her blog,I immediately hunted the set down. Anyhow, my image is stamped with Palette Burnt Umber on watercolor paper. I colored the frosting in with Pretty in Pink, then highlighted it with Regal Rose. The cherry is done in Rose Red and I added some Stardust Stickles to the spot on it. I paper pieced the wrapper on because I love that polka dot paper! To finish it off, I outlined the whole image with a Tombow pastel blue marker. The Pretty in Pink panel is stamped with a retired set from TAC called Swirl. Look what's going to be blooming soon. My dad gave us this aloe a year or two ago and it recently sprouted a bloom. I can't wait for it to open up; it's never bloomed for us before. Happy Friday!!!

Stamps: Cupcakes (Hero Arts), Swirl (TAC, retired background)
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, SU Print's Sampler (thanks Kris), watercolor paper from Wal-mart
Ink: Palette Burnt Umber (TAC, TT-218, $6.00), Pretty in Pink
Other: ticket corner punch, pastel button brads from Michael's, Celery grosgrain, Stardust Stickles
