Irish Flag Riley

Hi, hope everyone is staying dry in their neck of the woods. I say that because it has been raining here all day. My voice is totally shot. It keeps coming and going, but that didn't stop me from trying out Amy's sketch challenge. Isn't this a neat layout? I had this image laying on the desk beggin' to be colored. My Riley's are stamped with Palette Noir on watercolor paper. I then colored them in with SU markers and a Niji waterbrush. The gold and buckle are colored with Summer Sun. I then went over them with a Sakura Stardust pen. Now speaking of colors, I know this might seem kinda out there at first glance. However, it does have some thought behind it, LOL. Green, white and orange are the colors of the Irish flag. Yep I was skeptical at first too, but I like how it came together. I used River Rock as an accent color. I ran the two pieces of River Rock cardstock through the Cuttlebug using the Tiny Bubbles folder. To make it stand out more, I used a sponge dauber and went over it with Chocolate Chip ink. Looks like a little pebbled road! Thanks for stoppin' by!!

Very nice! I do like the colors together. Love the cobblestone feel to the strips you cuttlebugged. Also love the touch of the ribbon!
