Sketch Challenge 132

Yesterday's sketch challenge was a bit different, but it sure was fun to play with. You can view it here.

My card base is Bashful Blue cs. I took a piece of Uphill Crate paper and sponged the edges using Ranger Walnut Distess Ink. It really made my pattern paper stand out against the Bashful Blue without having to use another piece of cs to back it. The corner is has a tiny hole punch and a piece of sheer chocolate polka dot ribbon from Michael's.

Just a little tip, when the SC involves different shapes like this one, I simply go to the thread and click on the picture of the SC that Roxy posted. Then I hit print, cut out the shapes and trace them onto my cs. No brainwork! The green cs is the reverse side of the Crate paper; gotta love 2-sided paper. My sentiment is from Rosie's Roadshow. The Bashful Blue circle is stamped using the Itty Bitty backgrounds in the same color. Both pieces of cs are sponged with the Distress Ink.

The main image is from my favorite SU set, Crab & Company. I colored it using my SU markers. It is cut out using the 2nd circle on the Coluzzle. The Brocade Blue cs is cut out using the 3rd circle on the Coluzzle. I then pierced some holes around the image and added some faux stitches with my white gel pen. The party hat is cut out and raised with a dimensional.

Brilliant idea for the pattern design. I think you have to be thinking in the beginning to come up with that!
