Tiny Tot

This card makes me smile!! I have a friend who just told us she is expecting. A little backstory, we have an inside joke about tots so when she announced her news we started calling the baby tiny tot. Anyhow, we went to Michael's this morning and I just happend to look at this box of brads and this one was in it. If you can't read the brad it says teeny tiny tot. I had to get it to make her a card!!!

I used Green Galore cardstock from SU. It is cut 4 1/4 x 11 and scored. I then folded one edge down 3/4 and stamped it with a itty bitty background from SU. I used the Phoebe Basic Grey paper. Isn't it fun?? It is cut 4x4 and backed with Basic Black from SU. I then cut a thin layer of blue cardstock and used my deckle scissors to decorate one side. I outlined the cut edge with my micron pen to make it stand out a little bit more. One I glued all of my paper down, I use a hole punch to make 2 holes and tied some Joann's ribbon on there.

My image is from a TAC set called How Swell. I stamped her on white and colored her hair, skin and shoes in with SU markes. For her clothing, I did my favorite technique...paper piecing. It is so easy and I love the effect! I just stamped my image again on the pattern paper and blue paper. Then just cut out the shirt and pants and glued them on top of my white cardstock image. I doodled a little around my image with a Green Galore marker from SU. I tried to make it look like my other deckle edge. Then I just adhered my super cute brad and stamped my sentiment.
